*NEW*: Other accommodations?

If you want to visit but cannot leave your car, we have options! There are three parking spots taped off for those who want to come to the service but would prefer to stay in their car. These spots are close enough for you to be able to see the platform and hear the songs and sermon. This option is also available for mothers who need to stay in the car with their children.

CBC Outdoor Service Expectations

Logistics:
  • Our outdoor service will begin at 10 am on the parsonage lawn.

  • Walking paths will be marked to ensure proper distancing. Please don’t sit in these areas.

  • When choosing a place to sit, please allow 6+ ft between your family and other individuals/families.

  • Livestream will still be available for those who elect to stay home.

  • A sanitation station is available at the Welcome Tent. Face masks (adult & child) are available if needed.

  • If you have tested positive after coming to church, please communicate to the COVID team: covidresponse@cbcpeabody.org

Are there any restrictions?

  • Please do not attend if you have or have been exposed to someone with COVID symptoms.

  • As happy as we are to be together again, we want to be above reproach and maintain a healthy witness with our neighbors - please refrain from shaking hands, high fives, or hugs.

What do I bring?

  • Face coverings are required at our outdoor service at all times EXCEPT when you are at your seat.

  • Enough chairs (or a blanket) for you or your family to use on the grass (please note that if it rains on Saturday the ground may still be damp)

  • In lieu of a bulletin and video projection, we will email you a small worship packet that includes song lyrics and the sermon outline. Please either:

    • Bring a device to access the worship packet

    • Print the packet for yourself or family in advance

What about children’s programs?

  • Due to Massachusetts guidelines, we are unable to provide any children’s programs or materials.

  • Please make every effort to keep your children in your family’s designated spot and feel free to bring materials for them to remain engaged during the service (snacks, coloring, books, etc.).

  • As it is hard to keep kids apart after the service, please use our sanitation station before/after playing. Those that feel uncomfortable may take additional precautions.

What about bathrooms?

  • If you need to use the bathroom, you may access basement bathrooms through the outdoor stairwell.

  • The bathroom on the main level is available for families with young children/those needing the ramp.

What if it rains?

  • If the service is moved indoors for the week, we will notify you via email and text on Saturday morning.

  • If this happens, attendance will be limited and available by online sign-up only. More information will be given if we make that call, but our plan is to have a staggered registration.
