Greetings CBC Family,
What an opportune moment for us to celebrate this week the death and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ! As we are bombarded with breaking news, daily briefings, updated projections, and sobering numbers, we need Good Friday and Easter Sunday to refocus our hearts and minds on what is of “first importance.” Namely, our hope is anchored in these Gospel truths: 1) Christ died for our sins, 2) God raised him from the grave, and 3) our enthroned Lord is making all things new (1 Cor 15:1–4; Rev 21:5). As we feel the angst of once again being physically separated this weekend, let it foster in us both a deeper awareness that we are joining in worship with ALL the redeemed and an eager longing for the day that we will join together with “the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, ‘Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns’” (Rev 19:6).
